Economy Minister: Weakening of Russian economy will have negative impact on Armenia
The Russian economy is very important for Armenia, we are linked by numerous ties so any weakening of the Russian economy is of course bad for Armenia, Economy Minister Vahram Avanesyan said at a press briefing, responding to the question about the impact of the weakening of Russian economy, in particular depreciation of Russian ruble, on Armenia.
When asked whether the economic crisis in Russia could become a reason for Armenia to review its decision to join the Customs Union, Avanesyan said, “In any case, I don’t think the current situation could make us review that decision.”
