ANC not to participate in formation of new government - Manukyan
The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) will not participate in formation of new government in Armenia, secretary of ANC parliamentary faction Aram Manukyan told a press briefing, adding that ANC leader, first Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan also said this earlier.
When asked how the new government will be formed given the fact that the four non-coalition factions do not demand the dissolution of the National Assembly but demand the resignation of the cabinet of ministers, the opposition MP said that according to the Constitution, the new government must be formed by the ruling Republican Party of Armenia and its chairman, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.
According to him, the mission of ANC is to tackle the serious challenges facing the country.
“We are not filled with malice. The Armenian people strongly need fair elections,” Manukyan said.
