Mitat Celikpala: Armenian-Turkish border should be opened
Turkey expects Armenia to make a decision on the ratification of Armenian-Turkish Protocols, while Armenia expects Turkey to take this step first and therefore we have zero results, Mitat Celikpala, Associate Professor of International Relations at Kadir Has University, Istanbul, said at the international conference on “NATO and the South Caucasus: Strategic Approaches to Regional Security” today in Yerevan.
According to him, the Armenian-Turkish border should be opened and peace should be established in the region.
“However, it is still difficult for Turkey’s elite to assume such responsibility and open the border between Armenia and Turkey,” Mitat Celikpala added.
