Armenian President meets with OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs in Netherlands
As part of his working visit to the Netherlands, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met on Sunday with Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassadors Igor Popov of the Russian Federation, Jacques Faure of France and James Warlick of the United States of America as well as Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The Co-Chairs discussed with the President the current state of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and further steps, the presidential press service reported.
On the same day, Serzh Sargsyan met with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. The President noted that Armenia attaches importance to the expansion of ties with the Netherlands. It was noted that the trade and economic ties play an important role in bilateral cooperation, with the Netherlands being one of Armenia’s main trade partners. Serzh Sargsyan and Mark Rutte agreed, however, that the current level of cooperation is not satisfactory. They noted that cooperation in IT sector, agriculture, pharmaceutics and road construction has prospects for development. Armenia-European Union relations, regional problems and the Karabakh issue were also discussed.
Serzh Sargsyan also met with representatives of the local Armenian community.
Armenia’s President is attending the Nuclear Security Summit in The Hague on March 24-25.
