Armenian lawmakers to meet with Syrian President Assad in Damascus
Member of Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary faction Samvel Farmanyan, who is in Syria along with a group of Armenian MPs, wrote on his Facebook page:
“We are already in Damascus. We will soon meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to discuss the problems of Syrian Armenians and the fate of Kessab. We are grateful to the friendly Syrian people for supporting our sisters and brothers – who consider Syria as their home – at the most difficult moments and we are hopeful that political and national dialogue will help achieve peace and bring the life to its normal course.”
