Defense Ministry: Tension declines on Armenian-Azerbaijani border
Tension has declined on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Panorama.am.
“The enemy continues to violate the ceasefire at various sections of the border, but the tension has declined compared to the past 4-5 days,” he noted.
Two Armenian soldiers were shot dead in the military positions last week as Azerbaijan intensively violated the ceasefire on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and on the line of contact of Karabakh’s and Azerbaijan’s troops. Azerbaijani forces also fired at several populated areas in Armenia’s Tavush province.
Mr Hovhannisyan also said that Armenian forces keep control of the situation.
