Hraparak: Issue of next PM discussed at Presidential Palace
Some sources say Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan wanted to resign in December, citing tiredness, but he was told to complete Armenia’s CU accession roadmap before handing in his resignation, Hraparak writes.
The same sources claim that the ruling RPA’s recent economic forum was the end of that process. Upon his return from the funeral of Spain’s ex-Prime Minister, Tigran Sargsyan was told that he could resign. On that evening, Seyran Ohanyan, Gorik Hakobyan, Vladimir Gasparyan, Arthur Baghdasaryan and some other officials were called to the Presidential Palace and informed about the resignation of the Prime Minister. No final decision was made on who will be the next PM.
The sources also say that President Serzh Sargsyan and Armenia’s ex-President Robert Kocharyan met several days ago. The newspaper failed to verify the news.
