Bakur Karapetyan: Maragha massacre was continuation of Armenian Genocide
22 years ago, Azerbaijani armed units entered the village of Maragha with the help of 17 Soviet tanks deployed in Kirovabad and slaughtered the peaceful Armenian population, Bakur Karapetyan, writer, publicist, Chairman of the Shushi Charitable Foundation, told reporters in Yerevan.
69 people were cruelly killed in Maragha and 30 in Margushavan, Karapetyan noted.
According to him, the Maragha massacre was the continuation of the Armenian Genocide, Sumgait and Baku pogroms.
Reminding that Baroness Caroline Cox has spoken about the Maragha massacre, Karapetyan noted that information about the Maragha massacre, Sumgait and Baku pogroms is not being spread actively and called on to intensify the information war.
