Azerbaijani TV channel compares its compatriots with sheep herd and is not intended to apologize for that
In connection with the 21st anniversary of the liberation of Karvachar district by the NKR Defense Army, the Azerbaijan ANS TV channel has prepared a reportage titled, "21 years without Kelbejer" in which the author of the material, Liaman Aliashrafgizi, has compared Azerbaijani residents of that area with a herd of sheep. Because of this reportage a scandal broke out. However, during the air transmission of program “Hesabat” representative of World Shaheen TV channel stated once again that the ANS television is not going to apologize to the former residents of Karvachar.
"On March 31, Prime Minister Panah Huseynov arrived to Kelbajar (the former name for Karvachar – edt.) on helicopter. They brought bread on his helicopter. However, in those days people were not even able to drink water. Everyone was thinking about escape. The Armenians launched an attack on Kelbajar in three directions. It was decided to evacuate the wounded and the children on helicopter. But the life is sweet thing for everyone, and men rushing into the helicopter could not hear this plea. People were asking to let the children get into the helicopter first, but it was hard to do," the reportage goes on telling.
The author notes that the sheep herd instinct was so strong that it was felt with both the civilian population and the military staff. "The military laid down their arms and began to accuse anyone but themselves," the material tells.
