Azerbaijani media attribute their defense minister’s words to Iran’s defense minister
Azerbaijani media, covering the visit of Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov to Iran, published disinformation as usual. They have attributed unfounded statement of Z. Hasanov to Hossein Dehghani Minister of Defence and Armed Forces of Iran.
Thus, the Azerbaijani news agency "APA", referring to the Iranian news agency “Mehr”, writes: "Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehgans at a joint press conference with Zakir Hasanov stated that his country supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The Iranian minister has recalled the four resolutions adopted by the UN, according to which the "occupied" territories of Azerbaijan should be returned."
Here what we see after studying the publication (http://mehrnews.com/detail/News/2271336) of Iranian agency “Mehr”: "Iran's Defense Minister thanked Azerbaijan for its stance on the Iranian nuclear program, and stated: "We support the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan."
According to Iranian sources, the statement on the UN resolutions was made not by the Iran's defense minister, but by Zakir Hasanov.
As we have reported, the Azerbaijani media, covering the recent visit of Ilham Aliyev to Iran, had attributed to the spiritual leader of Iran Ali Khamenei another statement, which was not found on his official website.
