Armenia should withdraw its signature from Armenian-Turkish Protocols – Manoyan
Turkish society is a victim of Turkey’s denial of the Armenian Genocide because they have no opportunity to know the truth about their history and Armenian society can help them by establishing contacts with representatives of Turkish society, Giro Manoyan, Director of the ARF bureau's Hay Dat and political affairs office, told a press conference in Yerevan.
He added that we should continue demanding the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and raising the issue of a compensation.
As regards Armenian-Turkish normalization, Manoyan noted that Armenia should withdraw its signature from the Armenian-Turkish Protocols.
“Turkey shows the world that the Protocols mean that some process is underway between our countries. Armenia should withdraw its signature, especially after Turkey’s recent anti-Armenian actions in Kessab,” Manoyan said, adding that it will not be correct if Armenia enters the centenary of the Armenian Genocide with the Armenian-Turkish Protocols.
