None of conflicting forces believes that Syrian state can survive – analyst
Under the rule of Bashar al-Assad’s father, Syria became a stable state and began interfering in regional issues, but currently Syria as a state is destroyed and none of the conflicting forces believes that the Syrian state can survive, Vicken Cheterian, a journalist and political analyst, told reporters in Yerevan.
Speaking about the Kessab events, Cheterian expressed an opinion that the information campaign was carried out ineffectively. “Armenian-populated districts are neighbored by rebel districts where fighting goes on and Armenia’s wrong policy may pose a danger of destruction to these districts,” he noted.
He also said that this is not the first blow to Armenian communities and the state of Armenia must be prepared to assist its communities.
