Shavarsh Kocharyan: Turkey will recognize Armenian Genocide sooner or later
The statement made by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on April 23, on the eve of the 99th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, bears evidence to the fact that Turkey will recognize the fact of the Armenian Genocide sooner or later, Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told reporters at Tsitsernakaberd.
When asked what measures Armenia plans to take on the threshold of the centenary of the Armenian Genocide, Mr Kocharyan noted that consistent work is being carried out, which is already noticeable and stressed that not only Turkey, but also the entire world will recognize the Armenian Genocide sooner or later.
The Armenian Genocide was recognized by Uruguay, Russia, France, Lithuania, the Italian Chamber of Deputies, majority of U.S. states, parliaments of Greece, Cyprus, Argentina, Belgium and Wales, National Council of Switzerland, Chamber of Commons of Canada, Polish Sejm, Vatican, European Parliament and the World Council of Churches.
