Russia sends humanitarian aid to Kessab Armenians
A plane of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has delivered 34 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Syria, according to Russia’s Foreign Ministry.
The aid includes tents, blankets, tableware, clothes and food.
“Part of the aid was collected by the Armenian community of Russia. The aid, in particular, will be distributed among Kessab Armenians who became victims of violent attack by extremists in late March,” the Ministry said.
On the way back, the plane transported about 20 tonnes of oranges to Russia gifted by the Syrian government.
The oranges will be distributed among social care institutions of Moscow area.
