Opposition forces had possibility to come up with united front – Markarov
Finding new cadres is one of the main problems of the new government, political scientist Alexander Markarov told reporters on Tuesday. According to him, we need a new generation of leaders. “Maybe the situation will change during the next election cycle,” the expert noted.
Speaking about the election of the parliament speaker, Markarov said that the four non-coalition parliamentary factions lost the possibility of coming up with a united front.
“The non-coalition factions had a possibility to come up with a united front. But we see that they either failed or had no desire to unite,” he said.
“Moreover, Hrant Bagratyan’s self-nomination was a surprise for some forces, which is another evidence that the opposition is split,” the expert concluded.
