Teachers stage protest against pension reform
Teachers are staging a protest outside the Ministry of Education and Science in Yerevan.
Joined by members of ‘I am against’ civil movement, they demand that Minister Armen Ashotyan honor the Constitutional Court’s decision and allow employers not to make pension deductions from their salaries.
A representative of the Ministry, Arthur Baghdasaryan, met the protesters and proposed that some of them come with him to his office, but they rejected the proposal and persisted in demanding a meeting with Education Minister Armen Ashotyan.
