IRI FM: Iran is grateful for support of Armenia in international organizations
“Armenia is grateful to Iran for the well-balanced policy of Iran carried out on Karabakh issue,” stated the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, reports the ISNA Iranian news agency.
Yesterday, after the meeting of the Armenian and Iranian Foreign Ministers a joint press conference was held.
Edward Nalbandian has touched upon the implementation of the projects in energy area. He has noted in particular, “We attach great importance to the development of the bilateral relations and are ready for future cooperation. We hope that we will witness the implementation of the projects over which we hold talks.”
Touching upon the nuclear projects of Iran minister Nalbandian has noted that Armenia has been one of the first countries that had welcomed the results of the Geneva agreement signed between Iran and “5+1 Group.”
The foreign minister of Iran has touched upon the Armenian – Iranian relations and has noted, “Relations between Iran and Armenia are very strong. They are based on deep cultural ties: the Armenians are considered respected and active minority in Iran.”
Mohammad Javad Zarif has touched upon the regional issues and has added, “Iran is ready to support the stability in the region; we hope that there will be cooperation between the regional countries which secure peace and friendship in the region.”
Touching upon the current cooperation of Armenia and Iran in international structures Mr. Zarif has noted, “The relations of the two countries are based on mutual respect and common interests; Iran and Armenia have close disposition in regional and international arenas. Iran is grateful to Armenia for the support in international structures.”
