Iran MFA: Iran and Armenia have extremely good relations
“Political as well as economic relations between Iran and Armenia are developing successfully,” according to IRNA news agency, Iran Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham has declared.
FM of Iran during the press conference held today has referred to the Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian’s visit to Tehran and particularly noted, “Iran and Armenia have extremely good relations. High-level contacts between the two countries are taking place constantly. Both political and economic relations are developing successfully. As a result of the Minister’s visit an agreement is reached to prepare ground for the work of Iran-Armenia intergovernmental commission.”
Note that, the day before Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian paid an official visit to Tehran. The Minister had separate meetings with the president of Iran Hassan Rouhani, the FM of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif and the Speaker of Majlis Ali Larijani. Edward Nalbandian handed Hassan Rouhani the written message of the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
