Armenia is leader in CIS in life expectancy: Data are taken from ‘‘The World Factbook CIA’’
Armenia is ranked the first in the CIS by the average life expectancy. These are the World Factbook CIA data, published on the site of the agency.
According to the data, the average life expectancy in Armenia is 74.12 years. The country is on the 116th place in the world and the first place in the CIS. The rest if the Commonwealth countries are located as follows: Uzbekistan is on the 125th place (73.29 years), Belarus on 138th (72.15 years), Azerbaijan on 141st (70.91 years), Kazakhstan - 150 (70.24 years), Russia - 151 (70.16 years), Moldova - 152 (70.12 years), Ukraine - 156 (69.14 years), Turkmenistan is on the 156th place (69.47 years), Kyrgyzstan - 153 (70.06 years), Tajikistan - 166 (67.06 years).
It is noteworthy that Armenia pass ahead of such countries as the former Soviet Estonia (118th place) and Latvia (123th place). Armenia is also ahead of its neighbors - Turkey (124th place, 73.29 years) and Iran (148th, 70.89 years), it is yielding a bit to Georgia (90th place 75.72 years).
Monaco is the leader in the list consisting of 223 countries, 89.57 years in average. On the 2nd Place is Macao and Japan is on the third. Australia is on the 10 place. The mean age of the inhabitants of the country-continent is 82.07 years.
Guinea-Bissau, South Africa and Chad are the countries that are considered unfavorable for long and a happy life; the inhabitants live only 49-50 years in average.
