NKR: There will be no return to former borders
Regardless of the statements and viewpoints or points introduced on the peace agreement, the official standpoint of the Artsakh Republic on the regulation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict cannot be changed. Speaking to Armenpress, David Babayan, a spokesman for the President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, stated that there is only one standpoint in Stepanakert – there will be no return to the former borders.
“We are guided by the Constitution of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, which highlights that there are no liberated or any other territories. There is only one territory – the Artsakh Republic,” Mr Babayan noted.
He also said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic will issue a statement and give a comprehensive assessment to the six points of the Peace Agreement introduced by U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick.
