“One of the activities carried out by Israel in Azerbaijan is getting intelligence information,” stated Seyed Hasan Ameli the representative of IRI spiritual leader in Ardabil province, reports the Iranian Irna news agency.

Iranian high-ranking religious servant has in one of his speeches has touched upon the visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Iran and Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman’s recent visit to Azerbaijan. He has noted, “The priority of the Israeli governmental forces is seeing the Caucasus without Iran. Avigdor Lieberman arrived in Azerbaijan as soon as Aliyev reached his country. One of the activities carried out by Israel is getting intelligence information about Iran. The terrorists who had killed the Iranian scientists had had a meeting with Israeli spies in Baku and have received corresponding tasks from them.”

According to the official site of the Iranian spiritual leader Ali Khamenei had warned Ilahm Aliyev at the meeting with the latter that “some forces, Zionist regime (Israel) in that number are disappointed with the strong relations that exist between Iran and Azerbaijan and continuously try to destroy the process of strengthening them. However, it is possible to overcome their activities acting seriously and decisively.”

In respond to the IRI spiritual leader’s observations Ilham Aliyev had stated, “Iran’s strength is Azerbaijan’s strength. The strong relations of the two countries will not allow the bilateral relations to get negative influence.”
