Armenian President: Armenian-French interstate relations have reached an exclusive level
Armenian-French interstate relations, based on historic friendship and common values, developing year by year, have reached an exclusive level, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan announced prior to his joint press conference with his French counterpart Francois Hollande.
Serzh Sargsyan stressed that the importance of the economic component of Armenian-French cooperation was highlighted at the Armenian-French economic forum on Monday.
“We welcomed the French investments in Armenia, which amount to over $1bn, and the involvement of about 180 French companies in Armenian economy, including Pernod Ricard, Orange, Credit Agricole, Alcatel and others. We are honored that another world famous French company, Carrefour, is entering Armenian market,” he said.
Serzh Sargsyan also spoke about Armenian-French cultural ties, stressing that they play a key role in Armenian-French relations.
