Armenian chess players at U.S. Championships
GM Varuzhan Akobian scored his second victory in a row - this time over GM Alejandro Ramirez in Round 6 of the U.S. Men’s Championship in Saint Louis. Akobian is currently in the lead with 4 points. GM Aleksandr Lenderman has the same result, but he is behind the Armenian chess player with additional points.
WGM Tatev Abrahamyan is third with 3 points after five rounds of the U.S. Women’s Championship. GM Irina Krush and IM Anna Zatonskih lead the tournament with 4 points, according to armchess.am.
