Statements on Karabakh are preliminary steps of Western pressure – expert
The accents of the U.S. Co-Chair James Warlick’s speech and the most recent statement of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs are the preliminary steps of the Western pressure upon Armenia, head of Modus Vivendi Center Ara Papyan told reporters.
According to him, the various recent statements, although made on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the ceasefire agreement, were rather political.
The expert noted that there is an open conflict between the West and Russia and Armenia appeared “in the Russian camp” following its decision to join the Customs Union and the vote at the UN.
“I believe that the West will show a tougher attitude to Armenia. The West must show that Russia is unable to protect its interests and its allies,” Papyan said.
