There are several reasons for the activization of the Karabakh issue, including the developments in the CIS and the aggravation of U.S.-Russia relations, representative of Hayazn party, political scientist Armen Aghayan told a press conference on Tuesday. 

Representative of Civil Contract Public Political Union Arsen Kharatyan agreed with Aghayan, adding that in his statement, Mr Warlick wanted to show the neutral position of the United States.

“Warlick’s statement contained elements of legitimization of his positions. A week before his speech, the Azerbaijani authorities launched a no-confidence process in the U.S. Co-Chair,” Kharatyan noted.

Referring to the six points presented by James Warlick, Aghayan stressed that the U.S. makes an attempt to return the old issues to the agenda, which, according to him, must not arouse concern.
