Azerbaijani forces attempt cross-border incursion, both sides suffer casualties
On the night of May 27 to 28, around 2:55 am, Azerbaijani forces tried to infiltrate Armenian positions in the southern section of NKR-Azerbaijan Line of Contact, the NKR Defense Ministry reported.
The frontline units of the NKR Defense Army fought back the incursion and threw back the enemy.
According to preliminary reports, at least two Azerbaijani servicemen were killed and another one wounded.
Serviceman of NKR Defense Army Erik Gasparyan, 19, was killed while fighting back the enemy forces.
The NKR Defense Ministry shares the grief of the loss and extends sympathy to Erik Gasparyan’s family, relatives and fellow servicemen.
The NKR Army’s frontline units continue to confidently perform their tasks along the Line of Contact.
