CC chairman: Issue of increasing parliament’s role cannot be solved without constitutional reform
The issue of increasing the role of parliament in Armenia cannot be solved without making reforms to the Constitution – in the area of legislative activities, formation of state government bodies, and considerable enhancement of parliamentary minority’s powers, chairman of the Constitutional Court and the commission for constitutional reform Gagik Harutyunyan said at the public debate on the draft concept of constitutional reform in Armenia.
Mr Harutyunyan noted that hearing various views and proposals will be effective for developing the final variant of the concept.
“Various meetings and discussions will be organized in the future. They may pave the way for stable constitutional development,” he concluded.
