Non-coalition factions announce demands to government
The four non-coalition factions of the Armenian parliament unveiled today a 12-point statement with demands addressed to the authorities. According to Heritage faction head Ruben Hakobyan, it took them a long time to draw up the statement.
The 12 points are presented below.
1. Abolition of the compulsory component of the accumulative pension system, return of paid funds.
2. Review of the legislation regulating the traffic video surveillance system, reduction of fines.
3. Reduction of income tax.
4. Doubling of agricultural production.
5. Allocation of agricultural loans in the Armenian dram.
6. Resumption of Nairit Plant’s operation, payment of salary arrears.
7. Ruling out the possibility of sale and privatization of Vorotan cascade of hydro power plants.
8. Ruling out the possibility of an increase in public transportation fares.
9. Adoption of a legislative package on elimination of monopolies.
10. Shift to a 100 percent proportional representation system.
11. Granting powers to the opposition.
12. Ruling out signing any international agreements posing danger to NKR.
