Serzh Sargsyan to pay official visit to Austria
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will go on an official visit to Austria Tuesday evening, the presidential press service reported.
Serzh Sargsyan will meet with Austrian President Heinz Fischer. Documents on expansion of Armenian-Austrian cooperation will be signed at an enlarged meeting with the participation of the official delegations.
In Vienna, Serzh Sargsyan will also meet with President of the National Council of Austria Barbara Prammer, Federal Prime Minister Werner Faymann, Vienna Mayor Michael Haupl and Cardinal Archbishop of Vienna Christoph Schonborn.
The Armenian leader will visit the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, where he together with Mr Fischer will attend the opening of an Armenian-Austrian economic forum. Serzh Sargsyan will meet with Chamber President Christoph Leitl prior to that.
At the United Nations Office in Vienna, the Armenian President will meet with Under-Secretary-General of the UN, Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Yuri Fedotov, UNIDO Director General LI Yong, CTBTO Executive Secretary Lassina Zerbo and Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano.
Serzh Sargsyan will attend the opening of Hayastan multifunctional center.
President Sargsyan will lay a wreath at the monument of Austrian writer and humanist Franz Werfel and will lay flowers at the memorial to Armenian Genocide victims in the yard of St. Hripsime Armenian Church.
The Armenian President is also scheduled to visit the Mekhitarist Congregation of Vienna.
