Republican MP: Government will respond to all demands of non-coalition factions
The government will respond to all 12 demands put forward by the four non-coalition parliamentary forces, but I am opposed to setting deadlines, head of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary faction Vahram Baghdasaryan said at a briefing in parliament.
However, Baghdasaryan noted, this does not mean that the authorities will carry out those demands completely.
He said that regarding some issues, the authorities will put forward their proposals as was in case of the demand concerning turnover tax.
Prosperous Armenia, Heritage, Armenian National Congress and ARF Dashnaktsutyun have made the following demands to the government:
1. Abolition of the compulsory component of the accumulative pension system, return of paid funds.
2. Review of the legislation regulating the traffic video surveillance system, reduction of fines.
3. Reduction of income tax.
4. Doubling of agricultural production.
5. Allocation of agricultural loans in the Armenian dram.
6. Resumption of Nairit Plant’s operation, payment of salary arrears.
7. Ruling out the possibility of sale and privatization of Vorotan cascade of hydro power plants.
8. Ruling out the possibility of an increase in public transportation fares.
9. Adoption of a legislative package on elimination of monopolies.
10. Shift to a 100 percent proportional representation system.
11. Granting powers to the opposition.
12. Ruling out signing any international agreements posing danger to NKR.
