Hraparak: Convicted political scientist applies to Justice Minister
Political scientist Arkady Vardanyan, who was sentenced to 10 years in jail for attempted murder, was transferred from Yerevan’s Kentron penal institution to Vanadzor prison on May 31, Hraparak writes.
According to the newspaper, he recently applied to the Justice Minister demanding to transfer him to Kosh penal institution as Vanadzor is a closed prison so his punishment becomes “equal to death penalty,” especially given the fact that he has health problems. There has been no response from the Minister yet.
