Georgian MPs detained in Baku airport
Georgian MPs from the "United National Movement" (UNM) party were detained at Baku airport, the Azerbaijani news agency "Trend" reports.
According to the Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan Teimuraz Sharashenidze, deputies Irma Nadirashvili and Zurab Japaridze were caught in transportation of undeclared currencies.
"They have been detained in terminal of Baku airport with undeclared currency, that’s the information we have. They are not detained, they are temporarily detained," the ambassador noted.
At the same time, as the agency writes, the UNM office denied this information. Irma Nadirashvili also denied this information on his Facebook page.
