Zhoghovurd: Armenia’s foreign trade turnover increases by 2.3 percent
According to the National Statistical Service, Armenia's foreign trade turnover increased by 2.3 percent in January-May 2014 as compared to the same period in 2013, Zhoghovurd writes. Exports increased by 3.2 percent, while imports grew by 2 percent.
“At first sight, of course, a growth has been recorded as compared to the previous year. But when compared to 2013, the foreign trade turnover declined in the recent months, by 5 percent in May as compared to April, with exports decreasing by 4.3 percent and imports by 5.2 percent,” the newspaper notes.
