Draft concept of constitutional reform debated in Ashtarak
A public debate of the draft concept of the constitutional reform was held on July 1 at Nerses Ashtaraketsi school No. 1 in the city of Ashtarak, Aragatsotn province of Armenia, the commission for constitutional reform reported.
Members of the commission for constitutional reform Hrayr Tovmasyan and Gevorg Danielyan participated in the debate.
They presented the main provisions of the concept and answered the questions of NGO representatives and concerned parties.
Tovmasyan and Danielyan urged those present to submit their proposals to the commission’s secretariat.
The next debate will take place in the city of Artashat on July 3.
By a decision of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, the debates of the draft concept of the constitutional reform will run until October 15, 2014.
