Electricity price increase inevitable – Minister
The increase in electricity prices is inevitable since the energy security of Armenia and the further sustainable work of its energy system are conditioned by that, Armenian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan told reporters, commenting on the decision of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) to increase electricity tariffs in Armenia.
“Price increase is not a pleasant thing and, to put it mildly, I am not inspired with it, but there are issues that need to be solved,” the Minister said.
He stressed that the calculations of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, made based on the documents presented by energy companies, are well grounded.
