Electricity price increase will affect tourism – Makaryan
The upcoming increase in electricity tariffs will have a wide-range impact – from ordinary citizen to development of tourism, chairman of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia Gagik Makaryan says.
Makaryan told reporters that the decision of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) to raise electricity prices was non-professional and non-intellectual, because, according to him, it was made without a serious examination of the situation in energy sector.
On July 1, PSRC confirmed the decision to increase tariff of electricity supplied to all the consumer groups by about 10%.
