Russia seeks to ensure advantageous conditions for Armenia’s accession to EaEU - Lepekhin
Russia is seeking to ensure advantageous conditions for Armenia’s entry into the Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU), director general of the EurAsEC institute Vladimir Lepekhin told reporters in Yerevan.
He noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to meet with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan soon to discuss the details of Armenia’s accession to EaEU. Even if the Presidents do not meet, they will surely talk over the phone, he added.
“Russia wants to make it happen as soon as possible. The talks are underway, with Russia defending the interests of Armenia. But one needs to be sure that there will be no obstacles
from Kazakhstan and Belarus,” Lepekhin said.
