National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia participates in UNWTO Silk Road Forum
The National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia took part in the 4th United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi, Georgia from July 7-8.
The UNWTO Silk Road Programme is a collaborative initiative toward ensuring sustainable tourism development along the historic Silk Road route. It aims to stimulate tourism promotion and consolidate efforts for conservation of natural and cultural heritage.
The main goal of the Forum is to address strategic priorities and directions for the Silk Road 2014-2015 Action plan.
In particular, initiatives and concepts were developed to ensure advancement in marketing, tourism promotion, capacity development and effective management.
NCFA's participation in this forum aims to deepen partnerships with the national tourism agencies of other countries and through the exchange of experiences generate new perspectives for Armenian tourism promotion, the press service of the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia reports.
