New military training center opens in Yerevan
Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and top defense officials attended the opening of a new shooting range in Nubarashen administrative district of Yerevan Wednesday.
Seyran Ohanyan said in his remarks that the Defense Ministry received the area from the 102nd Russian military base a year ago and then redeveloped the training center. He stressed the importance of military training as part of combat readiness.
Following the opening ceremony, Mr Ohanyan along with soldiers and journalists fired the first shots at the shooting range.
