EU Coordinator: Water reserves of Azerbaijan are expected to be reduced by 20%
Reduction of drinking water is expected in Azerbaijan, Rafiq Verde the national coordinator of the EU Water reserves told the Azerbaijani news agency "Salamnews."
The Coordinator noted that the depletion of water resources is not a matter of one day, and it is connected with climate change and increasing temperature.
He noted that the water issue has always existed in Azerbaijan. This is especially true during the sowing period. According to the expert, in the next 30-40 years water reserves in Azerbaijan are expected to be reduced by 15-20%. Such depletions are expected in Caspian territories in Kur and Araks river basins. To solve this problem you need to carry out water purification, to re-use it, to prevent water loss, and so on.
