Government to provide assistance to hail-stricken villages
Upon the instruction of Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, the Ministry of Territorial Administration has set up a commission for assessment of the damage inflicted by the recent heavy hail to over 20 villages of Shirak province of Armenia.
At the cabinet meeting today, the Prime Minister asked the commission to provide information about the damage done by the hail.
Hovik Abrahamyan visited hail-stricken villages of Shirak province Wednesday, in particular, the villages of Nor Kyank, Panik, Spandaryan and Geghanist, talked to villagers and discussed possible ways of assistance.
Today the Agriculture Minister will travel to Stepanavan, which was also hit by hail, to inspect the situation.
