Hraparak: Azerbaijan waiting for new proposals from mediators
During his meeting with French President Francois Hollande, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan approved the idea of meeting Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev in Paris, Hraparak writes. Aliyev also gave his consent, the newspaper notes. However, after Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s visit to Baku, Azerbaijan made it clear to the American and French sides that the meeting will take place only if pro-Azerbaijani proposals are presented.
“The fact is that Hollande and the American side want not only to arrange a meeting in Paris, but also to get the sides to sign a document, which will be nothing more than a declaration, where the sides reaffirm their consent to a peaceful settlement of the conflict. But the Azerbaijani side, playing serious games with Russia, is not satisfied with this. That is why the meeting is being delayed, but it will take place for sure,” the newspaper notes.
