Iranian legendary footballer Ali Dayi has refused alluring offer of Azerbaijan for his fans’ sake
“Though Azerbaijan was paying 5 times more I refused its offuer and didn’t leave for Azerbaijan for the sake of money,” told the chief coach of “Persepolis” football team Ali Dayi, as the Iranian “Mehr” news agency reports.
The Iranian legendary footballer has touched upon the offer of Azerbaijan to train their team. He has noted, “Though Azerbaijan offered me five times more salary than I get in “Persepolis”, I refused them for the sake of my promise given to the fans of our team. I didn’t leave for Azerbaijan for money!”
Ali Dayi has recorded 109 goals in Iranian national football team and is one of the best forwarder in the world football history. Ali Dayi has participated in world cups since 1998 till 2006.
Iran’s football national team was participating in the world cup: Iranian team was left out from the future struggle losing to Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
