Since July 28 to August 2 the Azerbaijani armed forces suffered losses. Azerbaijani side has at least 25 dead soldiers and more than 30 injured people, the press service of the Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic reports.

According to the report, since July 28 to August 3, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have undertaken more than five attempts of sabotage and subversive intrusion.

"In all cases the enemy has been driven back to their initial positions leaving many victims," NKR Defense Ministry noted.

"Two of the soldiers of the Azerbaijani Special Forces detachments were killed in Martakert direction on July 28. On the same day, while preventing the sabotage of the enemy in direction of Martuni one Azerbaijani soldier got killed. On July 31 the Armenian forces that were acting in the direction of Gulistan killed two Azerbaijani soldiers. On August 2, at night, as a result of the operation aimed at suppressing the sabotage of the enemy nine soldiers of Azerbaijani Armed Forces were killed, other seven were injured. On August 2, at night, special group of 50 people were hurled back, six Azerbaijani soldiers were killed and seven injured. On the same day, as a result of opposing actions performed in direction of Martuni three Azerbaijani servicemen got killed, four were injured. On August 2 as a result of sabotage in the direction of Askeran Azerbaijani side lost one soldier," stated the Defense Ministry of Nagorno Karabakh.

During the same period the NKR Defense Army has lost five soldiers, other seven are wounded.
