Georgia hopes for immediate elimination of conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan
Georgia hopes for immediate elimination of the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia that has escalated in the last days, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maia Panjikidze stated on Sunday, Georgia Online reports.
According to her, the civilized world does not need another defrosted conflict.
"We are watch with great concern what is happening between Azerbaijan and Armenia. I am fully convinced that neither our region nor the entire world needs to have another defrosted conflict, another hotbed of tension, and therefore I am convinced that the leaders of the two countries will find a common language and will be able to give the conflict a more peaceful solution," Georgian Foreign Minister stresses.
According to the article Panjikidze is concerned with the deaths of the militants from both sides and she hopes that this situation will be terminated first of all.
"As far as I know, a meeting is already scheduled between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia. This gives me hope that the conflict will be settled," stated the head of the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
