Zhoghovurd: Armenia’s trade turnover with EaEU member states declines
Despite the fact that the Armenian authorities have been swiftly moving towards the Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU) since September 2013, Armenia’s trade turnover with the member states of EaEU has declined, Zhoghovurd writes, citing official statistics.
The total trade turnover with the three member states of EaEU - Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan - has declined by 14.9%. In the first six months of the current year, the trade turnover with Russia amounted to $596 million, marking a 0.5% decrease compared to the same period of last year. The trade turnover with Belarus has decreased even more quickly – by 32.8%.
