Sargsyan, Putin discuss Karabakh conflict
Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin discussed bilateral relations as well as the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict at a meeting today in Sochi, the Russian President’s press service reports.
“Vladimir Putin met with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in Sochi. The leaders of the two countries discussed Armenian-Russian relations in various areas as well as the ways to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” reads a statement posted on the Russian President’s official website.
Earlier today, Vladimir Putin met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Russian President’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov is quoted as saying by Gazeta.ru that the three Presidents are likely to meet for trilateral talks in Sochi.
As reported earlier, Assistant to the Press Secretary of the President of the Republic of Armenia Narek Nikoghosyan said that a trilateral presidential meeting is expected to be held on Sunday, August10.
Deputy Chief of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Novruz Mamedov also said that the three Presidents will meet tomorrow.
