Honey and Berry Festival to be held on August 17 in Armenia’s Tavush
Shamshadin Honey and Berry Festival will be held on August 17 in the city of Berd, Tavush province of Armenia.
Sedrak Mamulyan, head of the “Maintenance and Development of Armenian Culinary Traditions" NGO, told Panorama.am that this year, the festival is expected to attract 2,000-3,000 visitors. He added that the festival is becoming more and more popular.
Shamshadin Honey and Berry Festival is organized every year during mid-August. The purpose of the festival is to present the richness of the community, emphasize its importance as a center of honey and berry production. Last year approximately 4,500 guests visited the event. During the festival visitors have the opportunity to sample and purchase locally produced honey and a selection of tasty honey and berry food products as well.
