Yevseev: Russia should actively assist Karabakh
The recent escalation of tension in Karabakh was in the interests of the West, which seeks to weaken Russia against the backdrop of the events in Ukraine, director of the Center for Public Policy Research, military expert Vladimir Yevseev told a press conference on Thursday.
“So the West is playing an immoral game. It’s no use looking for a black cat in a dark room,” said the expert.
According to Yevseev, the United States cannot offer anything serious regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement.
“The preservation of status quo is important, but I think Russia should be more actively represented in Karabakh. Considering the economic growth in Karabakh, ways may be found for cooperating in many areas, and Russia should actively assist that republic [Nagorno-Karabakh],” the expert concluded.
