ASALA fighter: What was happening on border was political games by Azerbaijan
What was happening on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border was Azerbaijani political games, Martiros Zhamkochyan, a fighter of the Armenian Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia (ASALA), told reporters on Friday.
“They tried to make us lose our patience and provoke us to start a war. But our authorities showed a good stance, so we did not fall into the trap they set, and our soldiers demonstrated their fighting efficiency,” Zhamkochyan said.
Aspram Krpeyan, daughter of National Hero of Armenia Tatul Krpeyan, said for her part that our soldiers are prepared to respond to any surprise action by Azerbaijan, adding that they were brought up to follow the example of her father and his friends, Karabakh war veterans.
